I had the pleasure of being the Lead Art Director and Production Designer on Al Dawri Al Mowazi, a show produced by Thmanyah for the Saudi Pro League, taking things from ideation all the way to implementation. I developed the entire visual brand identity and ecosystem including the hero templates and animated bumpers for all the segments and elements within the show.

I also took the lead during every episode’s shoot, personally supervising set construction, dressing, prop styling, and lighting to ensure that everything looked  seamless and consistent with the creative direction across the entire season. I channeled the passion and enthusiasm I grew up with as a football fan into this unique project.

SPL: الدوري الموازي  VISUAL Identity & PRODUCTION Design

Project Roles: Art Director, Lead Designer, Lead Animator, Production Designer

From the exclusive broadcasters of the Saudi Pro League (SPL) comes a weekly football show designed to keep the Saudi audience on their feet. After understanding the target audience and the purpose of the show, I built a complete visual identity inspired by the origins of football: the streets.

The name of the show in English translates to “Parallel League”. The graphic assets were designed to reflect tactical notes of real club managers, as the hosts of the show themselves are addressed as “captains” or “managers”, with all 3 teams competing for the #1 place at the end of the league.

Working closely with the producer, I crafted a brand that radiates humor, energy, and reflects the uncensored culture of football and its highly competitive nature. To ensure the identity was unique and not associated with any existing SPL clubs, I went for an untraditional color palette, to create our own “club label” for the show.

The visual language translated that raw energy of football into bold, sketchy, highly textured, expressive graphics. I also referenced the chaotic and messy atmosphere of locker rooms. This language mirrored the personality of the show and its hosts; playful, and unapologetically competitive, while adapting easily across motion graphics, social media, and set design.

PRODUCTION DESIGN.

PRODUCTION DESIGN.

PRODUCTION DESIGN. PRODUCTION DESIGN.

I designed the show’s studio to give each host a distinct backdrop while keeping the look cohesive. All three areas share the same color palette and graphic language, reflecting the brand and creating a unified environment. I chose a mini-stage for one side, a locker room for the other, and lined the front wall with metal lockers.

After developing sketches and 3D visualizations, I worked closely with the production team to ensure the space supported filming, lighting setups, and dynamic camera coverage, while keeping the hosts the focal point on set and maintaining brand consistency. I also supervised key props to ensure every element reinforced the show’s visual identity.

The complete visual system blends sports energy, competitiveness, and discussion, creating a cohesive identity that supports hosts, engages viewers, and reflects the show’s personality. You can find the full episodes on Thmanyah’s Youtube channel.
